PeopleSoft ePerformance 9.2


ePerformance module in PeopleSoft is used to evaluate an employees performance and also update the employees person profile. The module has Manager Self Service (MSS) & Employee Self Service (ESS) functionality available in it.  

Functionality Supported

360° appraisal process: You can include peers, subordinates or superiors as part of the appraisal process to achieve a realistic appraisal of an employee’s effort& skill during the period under consideration.

Employee Self Evaluations: You can enable the option for employees to evaluate themselves

2 level Approval for performance documents: You have the option of having the performance document being approved by the employee’s department manager or the supervisor’s manager or the HR administrator

Ability to Mass create document: You can mass create document for a large section of the employee population based on pre-defined criteria.

Integration with Profile Management: This helps ePerformance to include employee goals & competencies in the performance document so that employees can be evaluated on them.

Business Objectives: The organizations can setup Business Objectives for the various Business Units or Departments prior the start of the business year. These business objectives can be linked to an employees’ Performance Document and the employee can be evaluated on these business objectives. You can cascade the business Objectives of a higher entity (like Department or Business Unit) to an lower entity (like a Project Team), so that when the lower entities achieve their objectives the overall Objective of the organization is met.
New Features in PeopleSoft ePerformance 9.2

Pagelets: There are two delivered pagelets in ePerformance 9.2 which can be activated for Managers
·         Employee Performance — view alerts that are generated for documents for his direct reports
·         View Status Summary —view the status summary of documents for his direct reports.

Desktop Integration:
·         Adding Email Content as Performance Notes: This feature allows the ePerformance users to enter add email content as performance  notes for themselves and for their direct reports (in case of managers). There is a character limit of 8095 for these notes.
·         Tracking Evaluation Action Items as Outlook Tasks:  This feature enables the ePerformance module to add outlook task for the employees for actions that users have to take during the performance process, like establish criteria, self-evaluation, manager evaluation etc.

CheckPoints:  the manager and employee can enter comments regarding the evaluation. While a checkpoint is in progress, the manager and employee can share comments with each other and stop sharing if deemed necessary. Information exchanged in completed checkpoints will be stored in the system for future reference, such as when the employee works on the self-evaluation or when the manager prepares the evaluation for the employee. When the last step, Finalize Criteria, is completed, comments that are available in the document are copied to the employee and manager evaluations, making it easy for them to reference the checkpoint information while rating the performance and finalize their evaluations.
Integration with PeopleSoft ELM: provides a way for the manager to request enrollment into a course for an employee, during the evaluation.
 Archiving Performance:  PeopleSoft provides a method to archive and delete performance and development documents by country and document type when the document is older than a specified  date.


Reports in ePerformance


There are two delivered reports in ePerformance, these are BI publisher reports whose format and layout can be changed to suit the client needs.




Rating summary report: gives the rating distribution for a group employees for specific performance document template. You need to define the group of employees for whom you want to run this report, before you can generate this report.









View Status Summary: this displays the document status for all the employees in a specific group
